SERGIO VERANES
He fells in love with photography at twelve, when he borrowed his mother’s reflex analog camera. His passion led me to self-teach myself, relentlessly shooting and studying Life’s books on the camera, the negative and the print. He actually improvised a darkroom in his bathroom where he spent countless hours as an adolescent learning the art of film processing and printing. |

It felt great to discover that through photography he could express himself in a language of beauty and emotion — and to experience the magic of transforming those moments into inspiring, timeless prints. |
He is a firm believer that the lens is a mirror of the soul. His lifelong quest for simple beauty and authenticity is inseparable from my equally enduring search for inner awareness — a resonance that infuses the content of my work. |
| His artistic work has been exhibited in Paris, Panama, and is consistently present at international photo fairs in Paris and New York. |
| Since then, he has devoted himself to producing artistic portraiture and body photography, his two great passions. |
Today he lives in Montreal with his wife and four children, always seeking, always creating. He had a fairly successful career in fashion and advertising, shooting for Glamour, GQ, Esquire, and advertising campaigns,. Among those who have posed for him are celebrated figures from the worlds of cinema, music, and dance. In 2009 he experienced a turning point that led him to abandon commercial work. |
